Food tasted horrible. Plus they had a couple boxes of hamburger helper in the kitchen. So the chef is making hamburger helper pasta and passing it off as Italian? Get the 'F' outta here!

Original Brownsville pizza place. Love the salad, but the salad needs a more appropriate name.

What a fantastic place, the owner and his family work there.. food is fantastic very quaint.

The only place I know who charges for soda refill $1.75. Wine was way over priced $7.25 per glass. Garlic Bread excellent. Pizza seemed to be lacking on toppings. Calzone was good but seemed lacking on fillings except cheese that was excellent. Dinner for 1 adult and 1 teen $50. Cool place in decor.

Great food! The only reason I won’t award 5 stars is because they nickle and dime the hell out of you for refillls, Parmesan cheese, etc. and the service is really bad! But the food keeps me coming back!

If you’re ever visiting Brownsville you MUST go to this place. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is delicious. From the bread to the homemade meatballs and of course the fettuccine Gio. This is a classic, family run, old school Italian restaurant that you can’t miss. I can’t wait until the next time I go back!

My family and I were on vacation and found Gio's Villa via Google. This was the BEST authentic Italian food we have ever tasted. The staff were so kind hearted and welcoming to our family. We HIGHLY recommend you to visit this place!! Excellent!!!

I went to request information for the upstairs venue and was greatly disappointed. The upstairs section needs more attention.I won't be hosting my even there but food is great and everyone is friendly.

Authentic Italian cuisine and fun! Gregg the owner was a blast. Greg still hand tosses the pizza dough. He is quite a show and makes you feel welcome and at home in his kitchen. The meat balls are fantastic you won't get better balls anywhere like Gio's.

We just came back from our first visit; it won't be our last!!! The food is amazing and they have GREAT service :)

My favorite pizza in the world. The crust is perfect, the sauce just right. Order crushed meatball and pepperoni. The garlic bread is great too

Went there with my family, service was slow, and food was a little better than okay-ish, but nothing too special, also the mood of the restaurant is LOUD!, I warn about the telling and loud speaking of the staff.

I just had a pizza and salad and they were both great! I'm a picky eater when it comes to restaurants and this place is gooood. Come to find out it's all homemade there, even the bread served at the table. This place has really history too. There are old black and white pictures of the owners. I'm from Austin, TX and I'll be back during my business travels.

Gio's in Brownsville....the best homemade Italian food in the Valley. Milano's in Weslaco comes in somewhat second. Their homemade bread is outstanding and their marinara sauce cannot be beat anywhere. Been going there since the mid-60s (yikes!) and their food has been consistently great!
